Microsoft MEA is a Multi Country Region with truly diverse Subsidiaries. It is a key enabler of the market IT growth through solid partnership with Governments, Enterprise, Small and Medium businesses, as well as IT partners and consumer partners of the region. MEA HQ Finance team has the responsibility to partner with sales and marketing teams as well as supporting Microsoft legal entities with in the Region. Microsoft Finance is a truly global finance team and you will be part of the WW Enterprise Controllers to make each other great and build on each other.

The PS Finance manager in the Area will partner closely with the Public Sector business lead to be the Finance front-end specialist for the structure and economics of large deals. The successful candidate has deep insights into all large deals and builds on the deal-based forecast from Sales Excellence to deliver materially accurate forecasts. For all large deals, the PS Finance manager ensures high-quality submissions for Global ECIF and deal-based investment requests. In addition, the HQ Enterprise Controller will be the driver of transformative initiatives within the region and leading the Enterprise community within Subsidiaries.

Responsibilities

Partnership:

  • Be the Finance front-end specialist for deal insights and deal construct

  • For the largest deals in the Area, partner with the Sub Enterprise Commercial/PS Finance manager and with Licensing/BD to optimize deal structuring and closing. Contribute to end-to-end assessment of deal/customer profitability incl. discount, ECIF, COGS, CTE, Financing (+compliance aspects)

  • Build strong, trusted relationships with all key business stakeholders (PS Leads, Services Leads, Sales Excellence) to ensure Commercial delivers on its finance and business accountabilities

  • Industry analytics and Customer Potential and Propensity analysis to key stakeholders to assess market opportunities and threats.

  • Partner with the Regional Operating Center on deal-related FX, credit and collections topics (CTE)

  • Actively engage with external Business Decision Makers for key /strategic accounts

  • Leverage the NB/Customer Solutions & Market Analysis Finance managers to drive conversations around Consumption and Customer Ads

Finance & Business Excellence:

  • At the Area level, ensure DWR and deal-based investment requests high quality submissions

  • Owns Forecasting, building on SET inputs (Deal Based Forecast) and trend analysis (materiality) to land EG views and pricing level accuracy in the context of NRS.

  • Oversight EA Renewals to assure desired/targeted renewal rate

  • Lead Enterprise Commercial/PS Finance manager community with in Region to be the enablers and leaders of Transformation.

Controls & Compliance

  • Drive compliance in the Segment with focus on Sales Deal Execution and Proactive Risk Management

Qualifications

  • 5 years of active experience in similar role

  • 10-12 years of experience in finance positions

  • Cloud expertise, deal structuring knowledge, machine learning/bot experience, and advanced Excel skills preferred.

  • Experience in Multinationals with multi-product/multi-segment finance roles is recommended

  • Good compliance understanding / experience for the deal structuring and execution.

  • Fluent in English

  • BA/BS or MBA degree in Finance, Economics, CPA/CA preferred
